Catherine Herrera is an filmmaker, photographer and writer with exhibitions, publications and films in the U.S. and Mexico. Catherine received a Fulbright Fellowship to Mexico in 1993. After completing the fellowship, Catherine remained to work in Mexico for six years on a range of projects, as a researcher, writer, filmmaker and freelance photojournalist. Catherine is fully bilingual in written and spoken Spanish. Upon returning to the U.S. in 2002, Catherine has worked with businesses, non-profit, community, and grass roots organizations, individuals and special media projects to develop media and written materials in furtherance of their goals. Flor de Miel Media came to life in 2007 to develop further the professional writing and media assignments and projects of Catherine Herrera. The company launched in January 2008. Catherine has recently published several essays that draw from her bi-national experience and lend a unique view of the world.
